Dumfries and Galloway countryside is rolling hills, forests and coastline – perfect for short, medium or long walks for adults and families. The area is great for strolls, dog walks, rambles, bird watching, or serious hiking.

The coast and forests around Rockcliffe offer plenty of paths, and the many cliff-top walks have stunning views over the local coastline. Further afield are half-day or full-day walks in coastal and inland locations, and peaks such as Screel Hill and Criffel.
